my landlord is hot. but not too professional or seemingly competent. he's recently taken over the family business after being laid off from a software company.

i arrived for our 11:30 appointment and he bungled for a good twenty minutes, mumbling under his breath, "uh, do you sign...this?...what...what is this?..." before finally, "okay, here we ( Read more... )

I'm sorry I couldn't think of anything right to say last time, or that I ran out of time this weekend, but it was nice to see you even for the shortest bit of time, and I hope that the frangos were good, at least.
And in hindsight, as someone who spent the last six months doing little else aside from going to work and coming home from work, I can say that there's nothing like a change of scene to revitalize oneself. I know that finishing school is important to you, but I wonder if it's for the right reasons, and I wonder also if taking a quarter off (as I understand it, they can still hold your spot, can't they?) might do some good, be it Alaska, or BC, or even a day trip or three away in the Washington backwoods if the former isn't feasible.
Anyway, I hope your place treats you right, and that everything turns out for you. Hopefully I'll have more time if I can make it back for Christmas.

Some words of advice anonymous November 28 2006, 19:36:31 UTC
1. Work place sexual harassment is taken extremely seriously. If you are uncomfortable and you make it clear, it constitutes sexual harassment. You can raise a big stink!
2. Alaska is not all its cracked up to be. Cold, dark, depressing and a shit load of stoners. Huh, kinda like Mukilteo....
3. I don't think that all the death is the cause of your depression, but I think it might have contributed to it. I think you're in a transitional period where you're trying to figure out your life and you will be unhappy until you figure it out.
4. Take winter quarter off and TRAVEL! Backpack Europe, Asia or Central America, all can be done uber cheap and all will help you figure yourself out. Don't worry about your parents, they love you and will eventually understand that you need to figure stuff out right now.
I love you Tracey!
