Drabbles (Sailor Moon, Gundam Seed Destiny, Bleach)
Three more drabbles (100 words, exact, by my wordcount) written for 31_days_exchnge, 31 Paths to Happily Ever After. More drabbles forthcoming this week. Thanks to sophiap, for the usual encouragement.
All three of these have spoilers... SM and GSD to the end of the series, Bleach through 348.
Starbright, prompt: she walks among the stars
She felt Seiya's eyes on her, following her every movement and for a second Kakyuu was irritated, a feeling she quickly suppressed with a surge of love and understanding.
Once upon a time, she had been parted from the Starlights against their will. She wanted to promise she would never abandon them again, but Kakyuu would never knowingly speak an untruth. The Galaxia crisis had passed, but there was always the chance that another battle would need to be fought.
So instead of offering false consolation, she smiled and tried to convey through her eyes that she loved them all.
Moving On, prompt: saying farewell to yourself
Kira carefully folded the Orb uniform, putting it in a storage box that Cagalli would keep in Orb. As part of the treaty to end the war, Kira had agreed to accept a commission as a ZAFT officer.
Once upon a time, Kira had felt he didn't belong anywhere, torn between his allegiances as Coordinator and son of Naturals. Now he had so many places that wanted him that he was shocked and mildly embarrassed. He smoothed a hand over his new uniform, pleased at what it signified.
It was all he wanted, the chance to be by Lacus' side.
The Bottom of the Box, prompt: the difference between us
As they stand above Las Noches, Ulquiorra stares at Ichigo's battered body and thinks the boy a fool. There is no way that Ichigo can win this battle; the differences in their power levels are just too great. So Ulquiorra mocks the Vizard for his feelings, unwilling to express his frustration at not comprehending why.
Ulquiorra Schiffer will never understand Kurosaki Ichigo. He doesn't want to.
This boy has forced him into his second stage, and that is why he will kill Ichigo. Not for Aizen, but for his own satisfaction and self-affirmation.
