Hello again, bbs! My manga-reading adventures, let me summarize them in emoticon form:

Whoever said the plot meanders in the middle was kind of right though, unfortunately.

\o_

The first bit is all just world-building and then the flashback is SO AWESOME and then it drags. :(

I'll have you know I was trying really hard not to believe you! >:(

I dunno what's really wrong through, because I like dragged out ridiculous fight scenes. Maybe the awesomeness of the flashback just spoiled me for the rest. :(

Whoever said the plot meanders in the middle was kind of right though, unfortunately. It's still interesting, but nothing has really lived up to the emotional intensity of the beginning, IMO, and the looooong monster battles are starting to get kind of wearying (which is a hilariously sad complaint coming from me of all people /o\). WE SHALL SEE

IAWTC. I'm stuck at around 65 now and haven't been too inspired to continue, ALTHOUGH I WANT TO as I hear it gets better, zombies, hot new characters etc. Perhaps we can motivate each other? :D I was hoping to put some time in this weekend. Maybe.

The problem for me is that so much time has elapsed since I began it that I think I'm forgetting important details...like who certain characters are...and they're all drawn alike except for the hair.

BSG's first season is definitely strongest, but I'm still hooked, though perhaps not so invested as I once was. Again, I think that has a lot to do with, oh, Sci Fi airing seasons a year apart and my TV senility. :/

I'm stalled at 50-something and I definitely want to continue sometime (I'm inspired to read more because I really want to know the answers to some of the plot questions, I'm just increasingly doubtful I'm going to get many within the amount of chapters that are left), so maybe! It's all fresh in my mind though, so I can fill you in on the important details. >:D (I made sure to pay very careful attention to the hairstyles >:( )

Again, I think that has a lot to do with, oh, Sci Fi airing seasons a year apart and my TV senility. :/

That's why there's an advantage to being oblivious to things and then marathoning them. :D

I was all surprised that, at least from my perspective of structure, the Big Plot Revelations About Where This Is Ultimately Going only kicked in a few chapters ago, really. No spoilers, natch, but there is stuff that comes out.

/o\ I do like Jean! HEARTBREAK IS IMMINENT Y/Y :( I think I tried watching the anime at some point and was scared of the soundtrack of all things. D:

As you can tell, my viewing habits are basically the result of who I'm hanging out with at any given time >____>

Me too! This is partially because I can usually only get through multiple episodes of something if someone is physically there with me to stop me from wandering away after 20 minutes :(

so I ended up watching shitloads of Law and Order because it's the only tv show that's ALWAYS ON DDDD:

DDDD: And then you made sure your computer never broke again >:(?

Let's see, Claymore is one of those mangas I mainlined in a short time period so the middle is kind of hazy. What prompted me to read it in the first place was some two page spread of a bunch of awakened ones. I was like ":DDDDDDDDDD:" and started reading right away after that.

I think I want to go back and re-read some parts, especially the parts with bb Clare ;_;.

As far as recs go, hmm. The first two seasons of Heroes are consistently entertaining and Jesus Christ the third season, I don't know what they are thinking. D:

How about Primeval? It is lulzy sci-fi with time rifts and dinosaurs? :D?
