2 bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston marathon

one of my co-workers was running and we know he was right in that area
his wife and kids were too waiting for him to cross the finish line

the thing is that all the top finishers and politicians were already gone
these runners are all those who are running for charities

Why?

Apparently they got off easy as the instantly shut down all mobile phone connections and prevented more bombs from going off.

Why indeed. I have no idea why people can do this sort of thing, or how, and then go to bed and sleep at night.

I feel so bad for all those poor unsuspecting runners and thier families. God bless them all.
