I hate it. Having to guard my words so carefully, because you don’t know who else is listening or whose lips are looser than you think they are.  Hearing whispers behind your back, which stop abruptly as soon as your presence is noticed. It is funny how social media lets you in on the trials and tribulations of frenemies of yore. I too find myself seeing a lot of similarities between myself and folks I thought I’d never have much in common with.

Yes. I actually went out to dinner with about half a dozen of the girls from high school that I wasn't very close to, of course the one friend I had grown up with who invited me couldn't go at the last minute. A few of us have become facebook and goodreads friends.

Yeah people can change... it's hard to trust them again though.

High school can be so difficult, especially when friends betray you. I thought the ending was wonderful, where there is finally some realizaition of what they did when it is now happening to their daughters.

It's true. A lot of things benefit from us putting ourselves into others' perspectives. And I also understand very deeply that bit about keeping important things from people you know you can't trust to keep your secrets. Learned that in a very painful way.

A bully neighbor boy just tried to friend me on FB. Nope. Still nope. I have friended a few other high school ppl who used to be jerks, but never this guy.
