*kicks live journal*

I posted this earlier, but it isn't here. *sigh*

Our biggest help from that book was her naptime suggestion of going in at baby's normal waking time and comforting them through it and back to sleep. Alex was a 20-30 min napper from 2 mos-12 mos - it was hell on me. He now naps for 1-2 hours every day. I really think it helped him learn to comfort himself, and that carried over to night.

We also used her ideas for moving him to his own bed - we did the crib as a cosleeper, then a mattress on the floor, and now he's in a bed in his own room.

FWIW, we still lay with him every night when he goes to sleep. None of us are ready to give that up. =)

Needs to find this book and try it on Alan. He also is a short napper unless in the car :(

the book didn't help me with naps though
she just started sleeping an hour or more at a time
it's totally coincidental :)
