If you wouldn't mind sharing, I'm curious what you mean by "disconnecting". Does that have anything to do with you being non-straight?
I'm intrigued by your post because I think I might be bi or gay (I'm a guy), though only out to like 10 people. To cut straight to the point, I'm curious what it's like to be out of the closet. (Though of course it varies depending on where you live and where you work and what sort of people surround you.) I'm only out to like a dozen people, 9 of whom I already knew would be okay with it.
Disconnecting is more about not taking what people say to heart, and knowing that people out there do disagree, and it's ok, and that people will always be assholes, and it means absolutely nothing about myself
