I've lived through enough technological innovation that this type of thing should be old hat by now, but it amuses me that I finally upgraded my portable flash drive and I've got something about a quarter the physical size and a quarter the cost that has over 30x the capacity of the old one. It's probably good to actually think about these things sometimes, because they are still impressive, even if they're just one of many such improvements.

I still remember floppy drives...

I remember astonishing my Grandma by getting 5-1/4" floppies to boot to a menu on her old apple by typing "RUN HELLO."

On SA there's a thread in GBS reminiscing about CDs and by the time I was eleven, I'd had a turntable, a couple of casette players, and then my first CD player! This shit is CRAZY.

LOL i love flash drives, i bought a breast cancer on amazon that was 4GB and it comes with a chain and everything so I can wear it...then on amazon i found a stitch one and OMG!! Love it...needless to say Amazon = awesome!!

LOL i use my phone for everything, iphones rule in that way!!

My issue with the iphone is that it'd make Sprint increase my bill by $20 a month. So that's $120 extra dollars a year...I'd rather keep my old smart phone until it dies and get an ipod touch to play with.

(I'm currently on an unlimited data plan for $30/month. I'm keeping this phone til it dies, haha!)
