My Sentiments Exactly

This morning in New Testament Greek, Paul bumbled in, late as usual.

"This is our last week of college ever, Paul!"

"Aww, that's fucked up."

I pretty much feel the same way. People keep asking me if I'm excited to be graduating, but mostly I find the whole prospect very unnerving, stressful, and anticlimactic. Actually, I really hate being reminded ( Read more... )

It's significant that I'll miss you. :( You and Paul are pretty much the awesome kids on campus and if you could both be super seniors I would be absolutely overjoyed. Sadly you're both all smart and on top of things. I'm going to have to finish my classics minor with classmates like Michael and no hilarious oldah kids to balance it out!

Graduating early is even worse. That's 10 extra weeks of "so do you have a real job yet? making use of that degree, champ? How's the cashflow? Why are you always so broke? You suck!"

Commencement sucks. I cried during my commencement. Mainly because I was so hung over and tobaccified and sleep deprived that I wanted to die and yet remained alive.

So, are you excited to be graduating?

By the way, did you get Dunlap's email? I read the first half of the first sentence and since I didn't recognize the email adress right away I freaked out. That man is so fucking cruel.
