I've only just started reading your Widespot BaCC, but had to cheat and take a peek at what you did with the Newsons :)
Your backstory of this familiar bunch is nothing short of marvelous. I love good characterization, and you knocked the Newsons out of the park here! Your depiction of the kids' relationships with Gloria makes their family structure, the genetics, everything really, make total sense and in a way that makes them all very endearing.
LOL, at the kids' diet of grilled cheese. In my version, Ginger doles out a lot of Sugar Flakes...
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! The Newsons' is probably the most standalone chapter since they spent half of it not even in Widespot, perfect for peeking :-)
The way Peni created the hood each of the original families represented a basegame aspiration so when I started I decided to work in the other two as well. But I couldn't resist the Ottomas family and the next family arriving in spring won't be Pleasure either. It's kind of funny to remember that this chapter basically evolved out of my needing to figure out what could make these kids so fixated on grilled cheese!
:-D Ginger would say she's ghetto fabulous. She features pretty heavily in scenes I'm writing right this very minute for the next one so it's kind of funny to me that you found this particular chapter. Thanks for reading!
