speaking of books, do you think they care if we get the teacher's edition of say, a math book? the one in the bookstore is 87 bucks and a teachers edition on half.com is only 55..it says its the same thing except with more notes. anyone ever do this?

I've bought older editions before... I can't imagine there would be anyting wrong with a teacher's one though. There will be answers and such which can help and hurt you.

If it's for MA117, definitely get the teachers edition. That way you get the answers to both the odd and even questions and can check your work.

i've used teacher's editions before. some teachers don't like them because the student already has the work and answers for the practice problems in the chapter, and a lot of teachers like to do these in class.

other's don't care.

the books have the answers to ALL of the problems: odd, even, and problems in the chapter itself. they also have extensive notes in the margins that teachers use in class discussions. the books are awesome for studying and definitely a plus rather than a minus.

I survived economics with an old addition of the book, as long as it has the same material its usually not a big deal....i mean ur assignments may be on a dif page but i dont htink it will matter. and if u save money, go for it!
