just a question...are there any other freshman who feel alone here? like they have no close friends? maybe im paranoid, becaus ei have friends, i just dont feel super close with them.i know i have tried very hard to be involved and meet people, and i just wish i felt closer. am i the only one?

i think it's hard to make friends at qu. that's why i want to transfer. everyone is pretty much the same, and if you don't fit into that mold, you're kinda alone. i'm a sophomore now, hung in for two years, but next year i'm outta here. good luck.

yeah, i feel the same way. i'm getting my shit together to go to Uconn next year. i have lots of people i know up there and i seem to make friends very easily up there. you can hang out with me if you'd like though :)

i dunno, i mean you either love or hate QU. I loved it there, but QU it not for everyone. If you dont find your group of friends it can be very hard to survive there. People come and go all the time. Do whats best for you. If you're looking for a good group of kids to get al ong with try the co-ed fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. WE are a community based group that does service and everyone in it is truely amazing. You can go to some of their rush events and meet people. That is where most of my friends from QU are.

I know the feeling, i'm a junior this year, but freshman year before i got in a group i felt like that. But again like the girls above, I joined Alpha Phi Omega and now i have not only close, solid friends, but family. I'm now on the eboard for it, and it was the best choice i've ever made of my life. You really should come check it out. We'll have rush posters up soon. its not a group where we pick the members, the members pick us. we don't do bids, and if you want to join, you can join. You meet so many people very quickly and soon they become your family at school. I now live with 4 other girls from APO and its awesome!
