Hi there. I'm a high school senior shopping around for colleges to attend next fall and Quinnipiac has really sparked my interest. I was trying to find a list of extracurriculars on the website but didn't see any evidence of a band exsisting. Could someone tell me if there is a concert band at Quinnipiac or at least some musical ensembles?

OK. There isn't a concert band at the Q (I was dissapointed when I came in as a frosh too three years ago) but there is a Pep Band which rehearses and plays at the games. There's also an opportunity to talk to the music teacher and possibly get together with some other students and play with the Hamden Symphony Orchestra, which often invites students to join them.

So you've got options....I can also refer you to the current leader of the Pep band if you want to talk to him...good luck in your college search!

The Hamden Symphony Orchestra practices regularly at Quinnipiac and accepts qualified students. Email Professor Bruce White for more details. Bruce.White@quinnipiac.edu
Bruce is a riot. Can't miss him with his white hair and big tuba.

Also the Pep Band plays various games and events throughout the year. Bruce also plays in the pep band, but Mike Pistone is the president, and a student. Michael.Pistone@quinnipiac.edu

Hope that helps,

E~
