Why am I up???????
Oh thats right, to bitch.
So I've always liked the All-Star game/crazyness. I like the skills challenge and the game itself. I find it funny how guys that the week before are checking each other and fighting and general hockey madness put the anger away and play together.
Thats right, I think its nice.
I like cheering for my players, weather I'm 7 and cheering for Peter, or 19 and cheering for Alex.
I like the brotherhood that comes out of the All-Star game.
This year...ehhh not so much.
It started out ok, actually it started out great. For the first time in years, YEARS more than one Capital had the chance to get into the game. Not only was it more than one, it was three of my personal favs, I mean, how do you go wrong with Alex Mikey and Sasha??? Thats like, wet dream matteral right there....

In my opinion of course.
Then things started to slip.
Voting was a nightmare, the site wouldn't work, and who know's if the NHL was getting my hundreds upon hundreds of texts a day.
Then the Caps got hurt, starting with Sasha, followed by MIkey, but you know the nasty dirty details of that already.
Then montreal got a little out of control...oh yeah, so did pittsburgh.
Meaning, well thats right, 4 (4?!?!?!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK???) Canadiens and 2, the worst two, Penguins.
And one Washington Capital.
Alex Ovechkin.

I was not a happy hockey fan. This very simply shouldnt have been aloud.
Oh did I mention the West? I didn't, they would go on to only have players from the Red Wings and Blackhawks. If hockey fans wanted to see these four teams so badly, set up normal games and have them play each other, cause this is fucking stupid.
My father at this point tries to calm me down while I'm going on this rant at the dinner table.He keeps reminding me that it really doesnt matter, that after the first shift Alex (and only Alex cause remember Sasha and Mikey and Nickey dont get in.) will have plenty of ice time. While this idea is soothing, its not the answer my brain is serching for.
Why the fuck am I so angry about this?
Then today starts. Its normal, wake up, eat breakfast, watch some tv, you know all the shit I'm supposed to be doing as a college kid on break trying to enjoy her last days at home before I head back up to NY and Islanders territory.
I get on the web, just to check out the usual sites, when I come across a friend of mines facebook. She's posted Alex's photoshoot pics from the All-Star game.
When suddenly it hit me.
NO, could it be. Could all my anger be derived simply from that one little idea...

Was I just angry that Sasha didn't get a fancy photoshoot like this.
Maybe. Maybe deep down that is the reason.
Or maybe I'm just being epic-ly silly and in desperate need for some new Sasha pictures.
Yeah, that last one sounds more like me.
Well, anyway, now that I've wasted enough of your time, I leave you with this last little bit, its simple and small, but it is Sasha wraped in a towel, even if its only his head, check out his lovely curls.( and if you haven't watched the video, head on over to the Caps website and check it out, Kozzy translating for Sasha is adorable, but it would be cuter if Sasha would just give his interviews in English, but thats another rant)
