It certainly seems to be the season for reconciliations with parents, and right glad I am for that. It's uplifting indeed to hear that things are going well with both your folks and Flynn's. Especially Flynn's, as that was so unexpected. I have no doubt he'll be over the moon, in his own quiet way.

And Velvet Goldmine, my goodness! I'd love to see that guitar sometime, though. No rush if he's not bringing it back with him, but something like that... I'd like to see where it all began.

I think he'll have to get through withdrawal before he's over the moon. He's called me 24 times to make pained noises down the phone. Which doesn't help me, but it IS rather lovely that it helps him. And yes...unexpected. I just hope they keep it up because if they don't, I'm going to perform some Quinn-Fu.

He's bringing it back. He squeaked. He had the normal acoustic one with him in Dublin and he still has that one. This one is his blue 'I'm so awesome, look at me' bass. His parents wouldn't let him go back for it then... He was years without a bass, as I understand it... And then I think he saved up all the money from one of his jobs and got the one he had until it died in Rome.

Three weeks. Is terrifying. But only because there's so much shit to do!

I'm just glad you both have each other through this. I can imagine it does make it easier, going through it with someone you love. It probably makes the prospect of Quinn-Fu scarier, too!

Ah, wonderful. The connection between a musician and their first guitar... it's a beautiful thing. I can't wait to see how it fits in his hands, to hear how it sounds under his fingers. My goodness, I think my interest in this is starting to sound unhealthy...

We've been through crap together before. It made sense. He smoked twice as much as I did though, even in the best of times. Poor Mal. And yes, I am totally scary with my Quinn-Fu. It involves me pulling out my glass eyeball, shaking it around while making scary noises, and running the hell away. Skirt is optional, but I do like taffeta.

Oh wow, three weeks! My little Quinny is getting married! And to such a spunk!

I'll help you with wedding plans even though I have no clue. I was a flower girl when I was four and I haven't been to a wedding since.

I have no clue, but I guess I'll learn, won't I?! Peter says we can have it at his manor house which is awesome of him. It's huge, so space won't be a problem at all. That's where Spectre and Thomas' wedding was!
