Ok, so I can now add up everything from Amecon and my birthday;
Amecon 2008
- Master Grade (1/100 scale) Model Kits: Strike Freedom and Hi-Nu Gundam ver2
- Set of tools for building the above
- Tales of the Abyss character art book
- Death Note 7 + Set of playing cards
- T-shirts: "L" + "Anime: Like being on crack but with more catgirls" + "Pockygasm" (Given away as a gift)
- One of the Martian Successor Nadesico Sega Saturn games (Not sure which one)
- Pocky
21st Birthday
- Sony Digital SLR camera (Given to me before Amecon for pictures)
- PSP
- Crisis Core + Wipeout Pulse + Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology + Power Stone Collection
- "The Empire Wants You" t-shirt (From my sister)
- Socks (wtf?)
- Feather duster ("To dust off your model kits", so sayeth my grandmother)
- A Noly, who visited from Portsmouth
And while i'm on the subject of Amecon...
Despite the irritation over the omake queue on day 3 (Which in retrospect, probably saved me money), I enjoyed myself a lot. The events that I was able to catch, the cosplays and seeing the usual crowd after a quiet summer at home all add up to a good time, and mostly worth the money I spent on it (The runoff of which went on my 21st birthday spending spree, so win-win, really)
I'm not sure if there's really any more I can say, except roll on whatever-the-hell-con is running in 2009, and maybe the London Expos if I can drag myself up to them.
