Term will start very soon (early bird registration has already happened), so this weekend has been about relaxing and wandering around the local area. Fortunately, there was a music festival taking place in Southwark, across seven parks and a multi-storey car park. Thanks for the good wishes - it will be hectic, but I'm hoping that I know what to do.

The Elephant and the Nun was the name of the festival. It refers to Elephant & Castle and Nunhead, the names of the bits of London just north and south of where I live. Slightly different park choices might have allowed the council to call it The Wall and the Witch, but this requires rather more change to Walworth and Dulwich, and doesn't sound as good anyway.

I think The Wall and the Witch would have been rather good as a name! But yeah, they'd have to have done a little more messing with the original names, to the extent that it's cheating really.
