Family vacation

First, let me point out that I love my family. Next, I should point out that when they all moved away from the DC area I felt no compulsion to follow them. I've been vaguely concerned about blow ups on this trip since it was planned. Of course, I thought I'd be the one losing my temper. I'd forgotten that my role growing up was peace keeper

Sounds way awesome!! I've only been up to Niagra Falls once, nearly 20 years ago and it was a short trip. You're making me want to road trip. Maybe in the Fall when my contract expires. :)

One of these days, I'll actually go on the Maid of the Mist. I was at Niagara once as a child, and daddy didn't want to go, and then just last year I stopped by for a few hours on my drive back from Toronto. I just didn't want to take the time then again, as I was in "get home" mode and was determined to make Buffalo by night. Canadian side is definitely better - I had stopped on the American side, then walked back over to Canada for the view (when I returned to the American side and they asked me at the gate my reason for visiting Canada I told them just that - "better view") The film showing the discovery of the falls was kinda cool though.
