Just had to share one of the joys of being a mom. This weekend, Michael had to do a project on ancient Egypt. Of the list of possibilities, he decided to build a pyramid (I would have gone with a diarama on how mummies are made, but he didn't understand how cool and gross that process was until after I gave him a few books.;-)( Mummies, pirates,etc. )

(If you want to impress him on the mummification process, you can tell him that the surgery I had to remove the brain tumor used the same basic principle, since the tumor was located behind my nasal passages, on the pituitary gland.)

If I had known I'd had lent him my mummy set that Brian gave me for Christmas one year. You can take out all the vital organs and put them in canoptic jars. It's way cool. :)
