And it's because I was stuck in traffic for about half an hour today. East Wash was down to one lane. I was 15 minutes late for class. But this led to a self-realization: when I'm stuck in traffic, I am a racist bitch. A guy in front of me was going nearly 10 mph under the speed limit, and I wondered out loud if he was Canadian or retarded (I don't know why Canadian, it was the first thing to pop into my head. I got past the guy and looked in my rearview mirror. He was actually Asian--hilarious or horrible depending on your sense of humor. I vote hilarious.
So yes, I am taking classes at MATC. My friend Kari informed me that this stands for Madison's Alternative To College; it's kind of true, nearly everyone there is planning on transferring somewhere else after about two years. I'm taking two Sociology classes, and they're as easy so far as I thought they would be. My international relations teacher is, of course, an old grad school friend of Georgia's. Who isn't, really? It's exciting though because an old friend of mine who left school sometime during junior year of high school is in that class. He has not, in fact, been abducted by aliens, as was the consensus at school after he mysteriously disappeared. But he WAS living in Colorado, so he might as well have fallen off the planet.
I also have a job. It doesn't pay much, and I don't get many hours, but my co-workers are pretty awesome. Except for the managers (who I don't actually ever have to work with, thanks to one guy being very ambitious and wanting to become a manager) range from 15-20. We are rarely, if ever, supervised. Free sandwiches for all and all for free sandwiches.
