Oh.My.God! I'm smiling but I'm also really really angry.

How far we've come, and how many courageous women we have to thank for the simple freedoms we enjoy today.

It's something I try to explain to my daughter.

"the last sensation work of the season"
LOL, this makes me think of a fic written about "Enemy at the Gate" - the last ep of SGA's final season ;)

I know, it's disturbing how the authorities jumped to that particular conclusion as well. Of all the possibilities they could have come to, they decided on that one.

Actually the more I think of it the more upsetting it is and you'll have noticed the husband bears no responsibility at all!

It really makes me wonder about a few things. I don't think many people could read at that time...especially not the working class. So who was she? I'm curious now. I'd like to find out more.

That's awesome/horrifying. I love that you found that. So, is Jane Austen the evil one or Charles Dickens? LOL! I tell you what, if I had eight kids, I'd probably want to escape, too!

Hope you're doing well!

Haha...yep, it'd be good to find out which novel wins the prize! XD

The poor woman deserved a bit of escapism I think.

I'm okay thanks. :)
