But that fact that you like them does make me not like you.

well, actually, you are discriminating. discrimination is to make a difference in treatment or favor on a basis other than individual merit. you chose to say no due the fact that you know i like tegan & sara. you don't like tegan & sara, so you don't like me. sounds a bit ridiculous.
