I'll admit, it was slow to grab me.  It took three tries at reading it to get beyond page 5, and that was with skipping the rest of the prologue that second try.  But I kept at trying to read The Eye Of The World because I trust Lillith's judgment, and sure enough, the book has me hooked now.  I've just gotten to chapter 7, I'm still at the very

Oh my, I totally didn't even think about that... 'cause yeah, same thing with the prologue for me the first time around. It makes more sense in subsequent readings/once you're farther along in the series :)

I've just picked up the series too for the first time. Mmmm used bookstore credit. I haven't had a chance to sit down and read it yet as I am finishing up a Gene Wolfe series. I am excited to read it though!
