The "crease" on my forehead is officially turning into a line. This, to me, is one step away from being a fully-fledged wrinkle. It's been bugging me for the last year. I've been using anti-wrinkle cream and concentrated moisturiser on it, covering my face when in sunbeds and actually wearing sunscreen outside. But this stupid bastard won't leave. ( Read more... )

Gawd, could I sound more in touch with the inner Beautician? foranewwavelook February 7 2007, 10:09:37 UTC
Hehe, sorry, have the same worry, the brow line thing, three of them (ARRGHH), I know it's small comfort but I don't think you're gonna find it changes much for you in the long run ;P, but... I've been told (from my beauty specialist, you know who I mean) that such things are the damage from earlier on in you life, you can use rosehip oil to help repair, trilogy or living nature moisturisers (natural ingredients) to maintain and and wearing a hat (something NZers should really do) and moisturising face sunscreen to protect (because most dry your skin or make it over oily) neutrogena 55+ is one that O uses.

Hope this might be useful :)

Do you think I still count as being "earlier on in my life?" Or was that when I was doing all the sun damage in my teens? My plan was to deaden my face with anti-wrinkle creams in my early 20s so that the muscles would have died by the time I hit my 30s. Now Botox is looking like a seriously viable option.

As far as I'm told sun damage in your 00's and teens counts towards your skin condition later on, but you definitely have pre-30 skin, so it's a good time to start repairing. Botox, well, If you want to be expressionless....personally I find faces that are able to animate more attractive, despite lines.

As I and others say, things like Rosehip Oils and Bio-Oil are viable options, less invasive, and in the case of many oils and creams derived from natural sources, actually absorb into the skin to help it, rather than just sitting on the top.

And worrying about it doesn't help it :P

Surprising as this is, I don't think I intended to see you braless at any point ;)

Well, they're bad enough now. Losing nearly 20kg and putting a fair whack of that back on is not good for them :( AAAH I can't wait to see your little belly tomorrow :D

There's nothing else for it....you obviously need a straight-across, down-to-your-eyebrows fringe. :p
I had an issue with the lines around my eyes last year (crazy, considering I wear glasses most of the time, so who can really tell?), and then I got happy and stopped concentrating on it, at some point when putting on make-up, I noticed that they'd certainly retreated. I think whenever you focus too hard on anyhing, you unconsciously do things that make it worse. Not really all that helpful, though. Bio-Oil is meant to be miraculous for most skin-related stuff, maybe try that.
