[Itsuki, for now, is pretty much just sitting idly in the storage room atop a box. Across his belt are still a few canisters of some gases, but with a sigh he removes the belt they're on, instead reaching for something on the floor. The whole room smells bad too, and there's a faint taste of iron in the air]

Sure. [Katou mutters, adjusting Itsuki on his shoulder (the freak is heavier than he looks like, or maybe Katou's just not good in valuating stuff like that). He mutters something rather incoherent under his breath, stumbling after Caesar.] Watcha gonna do with him? [Katou's still thinking Itsuki's alive. If he were less out of it, he would have noticed the fact that Itsuki doesn't seem to breathe anymore. But for now, it's lost on him. ]

Thank you, Katou. Are you badly injured?

[He moves along the hallway, looking out for any traps that might be about. There's a few suspicious looking things, but fortunately they don't seem like giving them trouble.]

I'm ... not sure. Obviously, the Malnosso will come for him, and I doubt they'll be so forgiving this time around.

Mnn.. Dunno. Need a mechanic. [His left arm is still equipped with long blade-like claws, and hanging by his side rather uselessly. It doesn't hurt, per se, just feels incredibly awkward.]

Huh? [He glances at Caesar from the corner of his eye, still not mustering the right kind of tone for sounding sincerely surprised.] Come for him? Ya mean they'll come for us all?

I see. [The door looks untrapped, too, so he hesitantly opens it for Katou and Itsuki's body.]

I mean ... they'll come for his body. Look at him; he hasn't been breathing for a while, now. Though ... with what we've just seen, I don't know what's going to happen.

Eh?! [Katou would normally have jumped right about now. But now he just glanced at the body hanging on his shoulder with dull eyes and then adjusted it better.] So why did the Malnosso assholes leave him behind?

To be honest ... [He glances at the corpse and Katou in turn, before shrugging.] I'm not sure. None of us have ever witnessed the Malnosso. Traditionally, it seems that they wait a day or two to collect the bodies. At some point, they revive them, and generally give them back to us within the week.

I imagine they'll be coming for him later. I ... don't think I want to be there for it, next time.

[Katou would shrug too, but it's rather impossible for him right now. So, instead he'll toss his hair and snort.] That's good to know, in any case. It just might be the thing we need to know.

Not next time, but later. [Katou mutters, following after Caesar.] So, whatcha gonna do with this then? [He pats Itsuki's thigh to indicate what he's talking about, which results in him almost dropping the guy.] Oops... lively one, aren't ya?

[Outside, the sun feels warm, so incredibly different from the cold, sterile atmosphere inside the storage room.] I still can't figure out why they let us see them. Others have tried similar vigils, to no avail.

Perhaps they were rewarding Koizumi for a job well done.

[He frowns.] To be honest, I hadn't really thought that far ahead. There's not really anyone I can think of to deliver the body to, and ... I really don't want to be around for any repeat performance, so he's certainly not coming home with me. I'm half-tempted just to leave him out there in the forest. No sense endangering anyone else in his game.

[Katou shrugs a little, his lifeless mechanic hand stirring by his side and Itsuki shifting on his other shoulder.] Whatever. Just tell me where to dump him. I ain't taking him home with me. [Actually, Katou would like to do just that, dump the guy in his backyard and wait around for another Malnosso visit. But he isn't sure if Itachi would skin him for that and the means he uses for defense are quite useless right now. He doesn't think he could take on the ninja with just one hand.]

Hmm. [Caesar eyes the area behind the clinic.] I suppose it doesn't really matter to anyone where he goes, so ... I guess, there, at the edge of the woods would be fine. I imagine the Malnosso will claim him before the scavengers do.
