There sure are a lot of kids.

So how many other parents out there are missing their little bundles of joy? Misery loves company. [Okay so he's not miserable, but he does have a penchant for the dramatic.]

Hmm... [He's not quite sure what to say to that, but... well... he really does miss his.]

[... Well, he didn't mean for that to record. Nrrrrgh stupid journal and its stupid ability to turn on by itself at the worst of times.]

Your child is safe in your world, then?

Safe and sound. I'm not really worried about her since time doesn't pass there while I'm here.

One hell of a roll call.

Sometimes people like to be opinionated without being directly involved in the topic at hand.

Don't feel you have to talk about it if the subject is a sore one.

[a softened voice-]

I do... I miss him a lot already...

[and then a chuckle]

Though he's not a very little bundle anymore, I must admit, but I like to think something like that doesn't change in the heart of a mother.

Nah, I don't think it changes in the heart of any parent. Your baby's your baby.

Mn, yes... You have a child waiting for you? I'm sorry you've been separated from them; even now, I'm still a nervous wreck, just thinking about it.

You shouldn't worry so much. When you go back home you'll find everything just as you left it.

Oh...truthfully I completely overlooked the fact that there must be loving parents, here--separated from their children. [How very tragical. Anne may never have really had parents as such; although she loves Marilla and loved Matthew very much for their guardianship, she doesn't suppose that a brother and sister can ever really be called a mother and a father.]

You must despair rather often, sir.

I don't think I'd quite call it despairing, but I do miss her. Maybe a few months from now it'll be despair, I don't know.

[Hot damn he likes you already.]

One out of three isn't too bad. Unless you're enjoying the vacation?

Oh sure, outside of the wings, the metaphorical icepick picking at my sanity and my son collecting people like they're trading cards and bringing them home to live with us it's the best vacation I've ever been on.

[It helps it's the closest thing she's had resembling a vacation.]

What was that last one? Your son collects people?
