this message is coming to you in three parts.

Softly the crystals falling on 17th Street do their dance and die and are
gone Millions of crystal balls roll around your feet and nothing gets done
An hour goes by She doesn't If you don't cry it isn't love If you don't
cry then you just don't feel it deep enough Dying all day in thousands of
little ways Dancing alone and drinking a lot Closing the clubs and haunting
the cabarets looking for what Another five years off your life... A year
goes by She doesn't...

...currently can't get it out of my head.

The rest of this message comes to you in three parts:

1. I made a blog on blogger that is more...mer - professional? It's where I'm gonna specifically talk about journalism as it relates to me personally & professionally...and also just the process of becoming a real person. I dunno....but feel free to read. it's here: http://carolineintherealworld.blogspot.com/

2. I talked with an old friend today (no names!) who said something pretty negative about the fact that Alex and I are going to try the whole long distance relationship thing. That bothered me a lot....because, seriously....I'm 21. He's 21. We're both sensible and responsible people & we get to decide what we're gonna do. I don't need any crap from people about this....if you don't agree with what I'm doing - if you don't want to love and support me...and / or offer constructive criticism, then please just keep your mouth shut.

3. I got a letter from Park Joon-yung today....the governor of Jeollanam-do Province in Korea....it's pretty priceless. It's an official letter to thank us all for our service at English camp. Here are some selected parts of said letter:

"Every drop of your sweat during the English Camp gave our students dreams and hopes for the world...."

"I still remember you tried live octopuses which are special products of our Province. Your positive attitude of challenging and experiencing something new were adorable and praiseworthy."

"I would like to give unstinted praise and encouragement for all the native instructors including the two instructors who taught the kids in spite of the fracture and who stayed with the kids till the final day in spite of the sorrow of losing a family. I cherish the karma with all of you."
