ok..so.. i might be a little bit stressed out. i think this has been the most stressed i´ve been since this trip. in actuality, i think it´s about the same amount of stress that i would have at home, but not being completely striken with panic in about 2 months to having a list of things that i need to get done is just a shock ( Read more... )

One solution for your writing problem is to carry around a little notebook thingie with you. That way, you can get the sentences exactly the way you want them ahead of time so that when you do get around to formally doing an entry, you'll know exactly what you want to say. Aside from that, just keep writing. The only way to really get better at something is to keep doing it.

Also, just try to relax. For as long as I've known you (which, I'll admit, isn't that long), I've rarely seen you fail at anything. You'll get the assignments done, so there's no point in convincing yourself otherwise.

yah, i have my journal that i carry around, so that helps in a sense. it´s more of the i get there and i have to deal with the girls that are trying to read what i´m saying, sighing every 5 minutes because i´m not finished, so that can be rather annoying to deal with. my only solution is..flame thrower.

i think it was just i went from my biggest concern being if i would make the bus to get to class (waking up at 630 everyday is not fun) to then having three emails saying that i need to schedule classes, apply for financial aide, and that i still needed to switch my universites here around. it´s not really failing at what i want to do, it was trying to absorb what was going on? i don´t know. this is what happens when i miss my nap. chaos.

Just take a second and breeeathe, lol.

No worries. I agree with the person above me and the notebook thing. Not only does it work, it makes you look artsy.

The people who have their whole lives planned out have one way of doing things, you have another. You can't float forever without a plan, but if you don't know EXACTLY where youwant to be a year from now, don't worry. Get an overview, and tehn chill.

I hate to be this kind of new age feel good guru bullshit, but yeah. no worries.

my bad, mary. i don't mean to keep ignoring you, but the last few times you've called i've either been in class or in music. i'm not blowing you off!

also, i've found the best way to blow off stress is to do it in a loud, obvious, occasionally dangerous way. Cafe-table jumping (not seat hopping, but actually -vaulting- from tabletop to tabletop) is especially exciting and taxing-- more so when the tables are covered with cups of coffee. Also, shouting at police officers, or hanging from 12th floor balconies.

be creative! dodging death always puts social stress into perspective.

it´s quite alright with the calling situation, no worries.

i tried running into traffic with this one girl here, but that almost caused a motorcycle to hit us. not fun times. i think it´d not only be a bit safer, but more 80´s style to project myself table to table while either peter gabriel or queen played in the background. your pick with the band.
