Man, I can't say that I am much of a fan of 'holidays' that are supposed to be mad special days ... i hate valentine's day with a firey passion and i'm sort of starting to think that I should maybe heap birthdays onto the same stinking pile. I get what you're saying though. Doing just what you like on your birthday should remind people that they should strive to make the other days of the year just as satisfying.
