So, after posting to my liverjournal, I went to Borders where I discovered that the SPQR mysteries are, for the most part, out of print. How unfortunate. They are mysteries set in Ancient Rome, and, if accurate, are very informative. During my mini-nervous-breakdown towards the end of my tenure at the Elementary School in New Orleans, I used
