Apologies for this being late - I've been fairly ill recently, and I have a job interview and a funeral to prepare for, making a trifecta of libido-sapping concoctions. Here's what you've been missing:
Melvil Popaud's bizarre and wonderful CV includes a noticeably naked and 'excitable' lead role in Francois Ozon's Time To Leave, Eric Rohmer's A Summer's Tale, Proust adaptation Time Regained, something called Hillbilly Chainsaw Massacre, Merchant-Ivory's Le Divorce, and a film he wrote and directed called Melvil, in which he plays the lead role of Melvil. Unsurprisingly.
Once I get back on my feet, I'm planning a piece on the recent Angela Carter retrospectives, and what they mean in terms of sexual liberation, as well as an appreciation of Jeanne Moreau.
