 Why no, I got side-tracked by lastminute.com offering a trip to Prague in 4* hotels for four nights for less than £200 each. Including flights. I then found something better on Expedia, with flights at times I actually wanted and  cheaper to boot. Needless to say Spain is a bygone dream for now. As soon as I saw Prague Spain was forgotten. So the snow has mostly melted. Now we just have piles of filthy grey ice around the lamp posts where all the old snow built up. Slush is horrible to walk in, I miss the snow! But at least it stuck about for Xmas ( Read more... )

They did turn around and come back with the 125% offer to my hint at 150% yay I can negotiate! I got what I wanted.... an email with some solid promises on it! Oh and a 150% pay rise from my current role... yes, current role (5 current buns from the bakers shop...) is badly paid, but seeing as I spend a maximum of about two months in it I can suck ( Read more... )

I'm sure we should be getting at least 125%, but seeing as they started so low it seems fair to start high. The offer is a bit insulting really, given the responsibility and pressure. Oh and basically being on call 24/7. And the price of being in London. And so on. And so forth. Point being they need to pay us more monies!

 I suspect I may seriously consider Liverpool. I mean it's got three of the damn things, so there's enough choice. Oh and it's a pretty neat place. I haven't really got many pictures to be honest, it's not a pictures place (as the poor array of postcards I have acquired shows), but it's got a nice vibe- definitely a student town!
