This particular one wasn't, although I think I may have passed the one you're talking about. I saw that it was closed and was bummed, even more so upon hearing that it was awesome. Not sorry to miss overpriced food, though...
You're absolutely right; DC is a city for walking, and not for the faint of foot. I felt like I'd walked for years by the time my stay there was over.
Its so hard NOT to give kids nicknames. Calley-bird was one of my fav campers. Its what her mom called her and it was really hard not refrain and just say "Calley".
It probably was a Tardis. Did you feel compelled to not look?
*Sigh* You have the best and most danger-filled adventures. Glad you're home safe!
Well, seeing as how it was in fact a port-a-potty, my desire to inspect it more closely fled. Though, now that you mention it, that would be the perfect disguise...
