Tom's here at the asylum. He had to be sedated upon coming in, and he's still very stressed about it, but he's doing better right now than we thought he would. The idea that the insecticide was a suicide attempt got crossed off pretty quickly, since he claims he was unaware that it would be so damaging and was just trying to get 'them' out. Not yet ( Read more... )

'They' are ants.

When I travelled with him to Ireland, he complained several times of ants. On the plane he had an hysterical episode, believing there were ants swarming over him. He calmed down when I spoke with him and took him through some meditative exercises.

((apologies if I'm busting up something RP wise, but Star has no reason to hold back this info anymore. Delete if it doesn't suit plans, I won't be offended.))

((No need for apologies!))

Thank you. That makes sense. His myrmecophobia's gotten worse over the last year as is.

I didn't know he went to Ireland. When was this?

I do not know. I have a poor concept of time and spent over a standard month in another dimension. It was maybe a week prior to my departure to my home dimension. Tom was in Storm's house, alleging that there was someone whispering to him in a room. I was sent to calm him down. I then accompanied him to Ireland instead of little Raven.

I do not know who little Raven is.

I don't know when that was, but I can guess in the last two odd months or so.

Nice girl. I worked with her once. I'll have to ask her about it.

He was in transport to your facility by the time I arrived at the hospital, so I shall come to visit him here.

I realize he is a danger to himself and others. Is physical contact allowed during these visits? I also wish to know if he is allowed anything to occupy his time with, rather than staring at walls. A book, perhaps?

Physical contact is allowed, but bear in mind all the visits are supervised. And books are allowed as long as they're not hardbacks - you'd be surprised at what can be implemented as a weapon.

A book would actually probably be rather nice. I was going to bring him Dante when I got the chance, but that may not be for a little bit.

Then I will bring him one, thank you.

Can you enlighten me about his physical condition? I was under the impression that his body no longer any remnants of the virus or plant materials implanted on him previously. Is this incorrect?

In a way. There are still remnants of it in him, but it's in remission, and it's at the stage that it only needs to be removed - it's not actively destroying his body at this point. Granted, it has done extensive damage to his body in the past that would have been fixed if he hadn't avoided us, and malnutrition and self-destructive behavior certainly hasn't helped him any.

He seems to think it's in his face and hands, though, which isn't right.

Oh? -raises eyebrows- Bear in mind it's all supervised, and if you're planning on harassing him it won't fly.
