Oh, this is an awesome Ochi introspective. I really like that you capture him as he is: not more sympathetic or unsympathetic, but simply Ochi, with his pride and his determination. <3

It's writing stuff like this that makes me appreciate characters. (This also makes me think I need to take on the girls of Hikago at some point.) I have a hard time dealing with Ochi a lot of the time because he does want so much just for being what he is, but now that I think about it, it is true that he hardly ever gets the respect that everyone else in the series in a similar position does get. It's no wonder he's always so angry!

Ochi is not one of my favorite characters, but you capture him really well, and without the good!Ochi vs bad!Ochi slant that most Ochi-centered fic takes
