I love the way you bring in all the might-have-beens: playing in school tournaments, multiple games, and Touya Kouyo angst.

I think I've just about decided who's going to come in where. ^_^ It took forever for me to decide who was going to be the waiter, but in the end, Mitani seemed most likely since I've got other plans for Hikaru to meet Waya and Isumi and they're likely to be pros anyway since their overall interaction with Hikaru (and therefore Akira) kept them as insei longer. I could have had Kaga, but he wouldn't have been remotely rival-like because without Hikaru, he would be even more into shogi. This fic is blowing my mind a bit as I have to sit and reason out circumstances behind everything, so thank you for your continued comments letting me know I'm not doing a horrible job. ^_^

It is good to see Hikaru becomes an internet geek, at least it seems he has another career if he fails his exam (how possible). It is even better that you keep updating this fic everyday. So, I keep reading and posting a new comment everyday as well to cheer you up.

For all that Hikaru is "normal" at the beginning of Hikaru no Go, he becomes a go geek *very* fast. That's why I think that he would do that with anything that he grew to like a lot whether it be the Internet, go, or Touya Akira.

I think I'm echoing issen4's sentiment here when I say that I really like the way you re-introduce all the familiar characters in their new settings.
Intersting to see even though they'd gone on a different path, they would still meet up, albeit in a different place and time...

I firmly believe in destiny, so I couldn't help but believe that one way or another, Hikaru was going to have the life of a go player, and I think that's impossible for him without Akira.
