(Of course I don't expect you to know; I never mention it, never use it, am not religious at all. But when all the other kids in my confirmation class had first or middle names that sufficiently closely approximated a saint's name, yet I was not allowed to use the masculine form of my middle name, I alone had to just choose a name arbitrarily. One of the CCD teachers was (typically for that) an old lady, who knew my also-quite-involved-with-the-church grandma, so suggested I use her name. My grandma was delighted when she heard, and I was glad of that. I might not believe in God, but I believe in making old ladies happy.
Old ladies are definitely worth making happy -- even when they've worked your last nerve and you want to jab red-hot needles into your eyeballs (Don't ask!).
