This brought me back, almost twenty five years, to the taking care of my mother, in her final days.

I've been feeling nostalgic for LJ, specifically that sense of a deeper connection with friends, even ones I didn't know too well IRL. Anyway, this post brought me back to the time when I was caring for my mom and you were caring for your dad and you reached out to provide me support. It was so hard and exhausting. I think part of the reason I drifted away from LJ, aside from all the technological impediments, is simply that I couldn't bear to go back into a place I'd treasured that now was full of pain and stress. Enough of that, though. I miss you and wanted to say hello!
