I think, in the end, he really was rooting for Neal. Neal's not just a CI and a frequent source of headaches, he's a friend.

Thank you!

Those last two words... damn, they hurt.

Loved it anyhow.

Thank you! Yes, I think Peter probably took Neal's non-release almost as hard as Neal did.

I get that they have to do something to keep the show going, but it was harsh.

I really like how we get a glimpse into how Peter sees Neal.

In my mind, Peter quite rightly finds Neal exasperating in the extreme at times, but he still genuinely likes the guy. Peter's fair, honest, and loyal...and he knows Neal's good qualities.

Oh man, that hurts. But very true to the character.

Peter's come a way and has grown to look past the black and white. Well... most of the time. ;-)

I'm glad you went for something different. Pranks are fun, but maybe here and there?

Well, Neal can be absolutely infuriating. :D It's fun for the viewer, but I don't blame Peter for being driven totally bonkers from time to time.

Yeah, the pranks needed to be slowed down, so that I have time to think about them. :)

Ouch, that hurt.

Good drabble though.

Thank you! That was a tough moment on the show. I think we all knew it wasn't going to happen for Neal, but I really wanted it to.

Besides, Neal with his freedom has the potential to be epic.
