It's sad when someone you love passes on but from where I sit, it's because we are left behind, not because they have gone on.
However, the sadness is real and I am sorry that you have to go through this. Please know, you are not alone.

But I am glad for him that he won't have to suffer here anymore, and I am sad for you that you have to go through this. It gives you one more thing to look forward to though.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you how to grieve, but mourn for yourself now and rejoice for him later and thank God for the time that Charlie was yours. (And when you see him again, you can finally perfect that harmony:)
I'll be praying for you as often as I think of you.
