It's 'definitely', internets! This is easy. To turn 'definite' into an adverb, you add '-ly'. Why does just about everyone on the internet type 'definately', or 'definatly', or even 'defiantly' (a different word entirely)? Amen, brother. I definitely see things like this every day at work. I attribute it to AIM, text messaging, etc. The only solution I can think of is to create a superhero called the Grammar Ranger. However, that would indeed be ridiculous.
