I usually don't post these things here because I think this kind of action isn't really the sort of thing my friends list is really into, and if they are I hope they check rallyready.org and then I am not bothering the less action-inclined people on my list. You could also direct them to www.rallyready.org

Has someone told this story to the newspapers? I can't imagin that the media wouldn't eat this up. Especially with the RNC coming to town and thousands of people plan on protesting...

But really, I don't wish to be a doubting Thomas, but is there anyway to verify the facts of this story? I grew up in a town with alarmists who uses stories like this to motivate people, but often the facts were skewed to encourage people to follow in the 'right' direction.

Newspapers are aware. I have a link to a City Pages article about the resolution at rallyready. It doesn't go into details but it has the original resolution vs. the resolution that passed. If you google Darryl's name you'll get a lot of stories about his arrest and what's been going on with the homeless situation. Indymedia is a good place to get left-wing news and information. They are not always "balanced" because they are written by common-citizens, but you can find your way to a lot more information about stuff ( ... )
