I've always thought those "pivotless" rear suspension bikes looked trick... An interesting solution to get a bit of travel, which really is all people usually need - something to take out the hardest kicks.
You keeping knobbies on it, or putting road slicks on?
I perfer hardtails which is strange cos Im a downhiller through and through ... but 1/2 - 1" of travel in the rear is nice. Don't get me wrong I fucking LOVE big ass downhill bikes with oodles of rear travel but they only serve one purpose.
I was a little skeptical when I first looked at it, then I test rode it and it has a nice jump to it when you take off ... prolly cos of the stiff aluminum fame. I have a feeling that if it was steel, it would feel *too* soft in the back.
For now Im keeping the knobbies on cos I don't have the bux for a set of slicks. My last good bike I had 2 sets of wheels: cheap mtb rims/hubs/cassette with slicks for city riding and my nice Sun Mavic set with a set of Specialized Evil Twin knobbies for Tremblant :-)
