I wanted to check the particulars of Soren's politeness/formality in the Japanese version, since I thought it was weird he used all the respectful -masu/desu things with Ike but was casual enough to use boku. Checked some other stuff while I was at it.

Neither your nor the official translation is quite literally on target with the one - 何者 is most literally "what kind of person" or "who". The official likely changed it to 'What are YOU doing here' so that the あなたこそ fits in. The sense of that phrasing is kind of like "I should ask you the same question."

さっきから most closely translates here as "from the beginning" or "from before," if they previously talked about something like this.

Most commonly and literally, it's a crude form of "to do" (Yes, in that sense too), but here it's a form of "to give" used by someone speaking to someone of (in their perception) lower social status than themselves. So, kind of cocky

Regarding the punctuation changes: I would be more willing to forgive them if their added content was in line with what was actually being expressed. They have a tendency to guess ... and guess in ways that significantly change the tone of the conversation or characterization.

For example, in the conversation between Stefan and Soren, the added elements affected an air of annoyance or impatience, whereas by context, it should be alarm at most, insecure discomfort at least. Mind you, at the beginning of this chapter he was too distracted/upset to even hold a conversation with Ike.
