For maybe the first week, Ryu stayed locked up in his bedroom.  He even refused to eat the first night, until his father threatened him with disownment if he didn’t just do what he said.  He spent a lot of time lying on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling with soap operas playing on the television.

Three days into the first week, he jolted
