PMS Day

Aug 05, 2010 17:49

Okay, here's the deal.

Today ended up being my PMS day. While there may be some minor effects of PMS that last for longer periods, most of the big, uncontrollable emotional crap occurs in one day, usually in the form of a massive, accelerated Sneaky Hate Spiral. Basically, a few minor annoyances occur and then I explode ( Read more... )

*hug* So sorry, kiddo. No matter what, you never deserve to be swore at.

Hope tomorrow is a far better day.

I wasn't sworn at this time (thank goodness), but it's happened on PMS day before.

Thank you!

Guys are stupid. *rolls eyes* I've had PMS days where it hurt so bad I couldn't go to work. And there would be a day or two where I wouldn't think too hard about anything, because I would be bi-polar, all day.

Generally, I warn my b/f, just so he's aware and not take offense at whatever I say. When I do so on gaming night they're all 'oh, say no more' and they're cool with it.

Honestly, I don't think guys are tough enough to handle all the stresses women go through.

It's awesome your BF and gaming group are so accepting and casual about it. I try to warn people, but it doesn't seem to work all that well, apparently.

I'd love to know if they are or not....

Bwaaaaah I know how that is, I can totally empathize there. Although I tend to go from irritation to rage to complete emotional breakdown in less then 24hrs. It's only gotten worse since the pain's gotten worse, so after the initial EATFACE day it's a toss up whether the other days will be good days or more eatface days. XD

And yeah, guys are totally clueless. Screaming at someone because they're undergoing a natural biological process is utterly stupid and incredibly pointless. *hugs* Screw them, I hope today is a much better day for you! <3

Exactly! I usually have the EATFACE day, surrounded by bouts of extreme depression. It's annoying.

I like EATFACE. I'll have to use that more often.

Thank you!!!

Aw. I am sorry to hear you've been having a rough day. :( People can definitely be... lacking in the "understanding" department, guys or otherwise. It really isn't fun, and people can honestly be incredibly reactionary.

In cases like this, if you've bitten someone, then yeah, an apology would be warranted. But they shouldn't think you're some horrendous "five-letter b-word" because of a singular occurrance. Now, if you've pushed a deeply personal button, touched a guarded and raw nerve, then yeah, maybe... but people with The Rage barely have enough of their faculties to navigate emotional intricacies that involve such things.

Yep, pretty much. :-/

Exactly. If it were something serious, I'd understand. But this is usually just the person getting on my nerves, and when I warn them that I'm stopping the conversation before I start really biting off heads, they usually ignore me and keep going. -.-
