Daily Deviant is Moving!!

After thirteen and a half years on InsaneJournal, we’ve decided that it’s time to relocate Daily Deviant to DreamWidth. We’ve loved living on IJ, and we’ve stayed put for as long as we could, but recent months have made it apparent that the comm can no longer thrive there. Spam commenting has become a major issue. We can’t leave anonymous ( Read more... )

i have an account on dreamwidth but no idea how to use it. also have a thing for september to post - i'll try to figure out how to post it over on the new page. i'm glad for the move, IJ is a really hard site to maneuver... :D

Meh, DreamWidth works pretty much just like LJ and IJ. You won't have any problem. But the move doesn't take place until November, so keep posting on IJ until then!

I figure pretty much everyone is going to be happy about the move. IJ is just too quiet and superfluous these days. It's unfortunate. I always had a preference for IJ, but it just didn't stick, then it completely stalled. (It's the only one I have a permanent paid account on, too. Dammit. :P)

Hi, it looks like I've been removed as a member of Daily Deviant at some point. I'd like all my fics removed from the community as well (taken off IJ and then not transferred/not uploaded to DW). Please let me know if you would need any more info to make this happen. Thanks!

No problem! We're not moving any past work to DW. It's (mostly) not our work, and too many former members from years back can no longer be contacted; we don't feel that we have the right to just up and relocate it on our own. The IJ comm will remain in place as an archive of thirteen years of our fandom history. I'll go through and remove your fics from IJ. I'll take care of it this evening once I'm home.

I'm finally home, online, and have your fics on d_d pulled up. But I have one question. How do you feel about leaving the two that were part of Kinky Kristmas? Maybe locking them (so that at least the recipients can still see them)? Or removing your name from them/making them "anonymous" if having your name linked to fic is an issue?
