... though I'm not a huge football fan, I sometimes can be.  Hard to explain.  I don't practice it like a religion, but it's nice to "root root root for the hometeam" (yes, I know, borrowing from another sport).  And the University of Alabama has always been the hometeam, as long as I can remember.  I even had one of those little cheerleading ( Read more... )

We will be better next year! There will come a time when all true fans (meaning those who will never cheer for Auburn in the Iron Bowl, despite whatever their chances for a title are) will be rewarded for their loyalty by a winning season and a win over AU.

Oh, I don't mind! It got these from various sources!

My dad didn't even reply to an email in which I sent these to him, playfully. Hmm. Kind of odd.... He apparently wrote some article, shrewdly "bashing" Shula in a professional manner, and it's supposed to be put in the B'ham News. Grr. This from a man who came to his first Bryant-Denny (the man still calls it "Denny Stadium"!) game this past year, at my prodding, as I am in the band.

No, I'm not bitter in the least.... ;-)
