And so he stood, looking at the dingy house in Fresno that he was born into and suddenly memories flooded him - a few good memories of what life was like before the bad memories he held of Chino… one memory in particular of his brother teaching him how to ride the bike he had grown out of.

I love this Ryan/Trey reunion. Very realistic. I love that Trey named his son Ryan.

I was actually trying to hint at the fact that Trey became a shepherd of sorts since he took kids in and raised them (Trey had straight hair, his wife had red hair, some of their kids had blond and curly hair). The kid's name just happened to be Ryan. I guess it wasn't very effective but oh well... it can be left up to interpretation since it is vague and Shepherd's pie is in there.
