1 - Nativity
Written for theoc_fiction advent challenge. 100 words!!! \o/
“Daddy?”
“Yeah pumpkin?” Ryan asked when Emma squeezed his hand.
“Can I see that?” she asked, pointing to the display in front of the church and he nodded before guiding her closer to where an elderly couple stood admiring the figures resting in a manger.
To his surprise, she named all of the people and animals depicted in the nativity scene and rambled on about their importance. Ryan smiled proudly when the couple praised her.
“But Daddy…” Emma started, looking up at him with earnest hazel eyes. “Where’s Batman, Spiderman, and Moses?” she asked and he quickly ushered her away.
